Learn Divooka™

Learn Divooka is an offline desktop tutorial application from Methodox Technologies, Inc. Its four areas are Courses, Examples, Wiki, and Utilities. It teaches software development, data processing, analytics and API concepts through explanations, diagrams and small, predictable study models.

Release status: Version 0.2.0 is in review. The first public download has not been published. See the product website for availability.

What's inside

Area Contents
Courses 31 lessons across eight subjects, including a 20-lesson Beginner Course, specific input controls, knowledge checks and local notes
Examples 13 documented walkthroughs based on Divooka.Examples.DivookaExplore, with illustrated structures and related lessons
Wiki 83 bundled published articles, full-text search and offline internal links
Utilities REST request lab, pattern study, statistics studio and complexity explorer

The subjects are Foundations, Software development, Data processing, Data analytics, API software, Application design, Creative computing, and Shipping and diagnostics.

Start learning

  1. Open Courses → Beginner Course, select a subject, or continue your last lesson.
  2. Read the explanation and predict what the illustrated model will show.
  3. Adjust the lesson's named inputs: for example, select a fruit, change a regional amount or choose an HTTP method. The diagram and explanation update immediately.
  4. Answer the knowledge check. A correct answer records completion; you can retry an incorrect answer.
  5. Keep observations in Your study notes. They save automatically on your device.
  6. Follow the related Wiki reference or visit Examples to study a documented design.

Completion is a personal learning record. It does not certify proficiency or assess work in another application.

Documented examples

The example library covers Hello World, Array Basics, Dictionary Basics, Collections, Function Delegates, Annotations, State Machine, System Graph, Constructs, Calculator, Flappy Bird, Procedural Animation and Mandelbrot.

Examples serve a documentation purpose. Learn Divooka does not execute example documents or open an external editor. Its illustrations are authored, bounded models: an animation uses manual frame selection, a game loop uses a fixed storyboard, and Mandelbrot uses a small fixed grid. A separate Divooka installation is not required.

Beginner Course

Lessons Topics
1–4 Graphs, values, types, execution paths and annotations
5–8 Arrays, dictionaries, lists, sets and reusable functions
9–13 Schemas, validation, cleaning, grouping, statistics and plots
14–16 Requests, responses, failure paths and business validation
17–20 Events, state, calculator design, diagnostics and a regional-report capstone

Further lessons cover composition, state machines, declarations, assemblies, animation, game loops, image samples, bounded work, fixture boundaries, reproducibility and documentation.

Graphical study utilities

REST request lab. Choose GET, POST, PUT, PATCH or DELETE; select a fixed fruit resource; include or omit example authorization; and set a price field. Inspect the request preview, response status and explanation. The local contract demonstrates 200, 201, 204, 401, 404, 405 and 422 responses. Every inspection resets the fixture; no request leaves the device and no real credentials are needed.

Pattern study. Choose a fixed digits, words or price pattern and inspect matches in a short text. Text is input data, not executable code.

Statistics studio. Change three observations, optionally add an outlier, and compare their chart, mean and median.

Complexity explorer. Compare constant, linear and quadratic operation counts over bounded input sizes. These are growth models, not performance measurements.

See Web API Testing for documentation of the full Divooka toolbox.

Offline reference

The Wiki snapshot includes published Divooka, public Tutorials and KnowledgeBase text. Internal training and unpublished pages are excluded. The content is prepared using the same Wiki parser as the Methodox Wiki mobile app, then bundled as concrete reference blocks so the desktop app needs no runtime Markdown interpreter.

Internal links resolve within the snapshot. Remote images, videos and pages outside it are identified as online references; their addresses can be copied. They are not fetched automatically.

Requirements and local data

The application uses Avalonia with ShadowGUI and Divooka.Graphics.Canvas, and is published with NativeAOT. It is designed for Windows, Linux and macOS. Windows x64 is the locally validated review target; other operating systems have separate CI build and test jobs. Use the package appropriate to your platform when it becomes available. Extract the entire package; no .NET runtime or Divooka engine installation is required.

Notes and completion checks stay in the operating system's local application-data folder under Methodox/LearnDivooka (%LOCALAPPDATA%/Methodox/LearnDivooka on Windows). There is no account, telemetry or cloud synchronization. Version-1 notes and checks carry forward automatically. If the original progress file is unreadable, the app preserves it and continues in a recovery record.
