Mind Maps

A mind map is ideas grown from a centre by indentation. It starts with mindmap, and its title is optional.

Settings

Setting Also Value
direction spread, layout both (also centre, radial, around; the default) balances the branches to either side of the centre; right and left grow them to one side; down (also tree, org, organisation) hangs them down as an organisation chart

Ideas

The first line is the centre, and each line indented one step deeper than the line above is one of its branches. Several lines at the top under a title make the title the centre; several without one are warned of, and the first is the centre.

Each branch takes a colour of the theme's palette. A colour or a role in brackets gives an idea a colour of its own, which the ideas under it take too unless they say theirs; the centre's colour is its own alone.

Organisation charts

The same lines with direction: down hang from their root as an organisation chart:

The text above: Director at the top, Design, Engineering and Office under it, each with its people under them

Each idea is centred over the ideas under it, and no two subtrees overlap.
